Your chronicler

Inez Calderón

Designated broker, midtown resident, and the person writing every word of this journal.

Portrait · Sam Hughes porch · evening light · 2026

I grew up on the east side, learned to drive on Speedway, and have spent eleven years selling the middle of this town — the bungalow grids, the barrios, the first ridge of the foothills. My grandfather laid block in Barrio Viejo. I learned early that a thick wall is a promise, and that everything in Tucson is a negotiation with heat and water.

I work alone, on purpose. Mesquite & Monsoon Realty is a brokerage of one: I answer my own phone, write my own dispatches, and stand in every house I price. You will never be handed to a team assistant with my name still on the yard sign.

The journal isn’t marketing — it’s the job. Writing a district down every month is how I know when a price is wrong by Thursday. If you read nothing else here, read your own street’s dispatch before we talk.
